PowerPoint
Using Microsoft PowerPoint for Image Creation
We often use PowerPoint to create images or logos for various uses. Here are some helpful tips:
- It is possible to resize the page by going to the Design tab → click on “Slide Size” → set the size with “Custom Slide Size…”
- When importing images onto the slide, changing the color of that image may not always work perfectly (the color can be slightly off from what you select). The best format to get the most accurate color change is SVG. There are many websites with free-to-use icons that can be exported as SVG images, such as https://iamvector.com/. First, save the image as an SVG on your device, then import it into the slides.
- SVG is the best format for maintaining high-quality images on the website. Even with multiple slides, you can save a specific slide as an SVG image.
Make sure you are on the slide you want to save → go to the File tab → click on “Save As” → change the format from .pptx to Scalable Vector Graphics Format (.svg) → click “Save” → a dialogue box will pop up, and you should select “Just This One”.
