Applications

Some OSC events require an application process rather than simple registration. Unlike standard registration, applications involve collecting additional information from applicants and screening submissions to determine eligibility or prioritize participation.

Examples of events that may require applications include:

The OSC uses formr to create and manage application forms and surveys.

Formr is a web-based framework for creating surveys, longitudinal studies, and application forms.

You can access the OSC formr instance here: https://formr.osc.lmu.de/. the OSC account credentials can be shared by Malika (they are saved in the root of the LRZ Sync an Share folder ‘LMU Open Science Center’). Felix can also invite you to create your own account on our instance.

NoteAdding a new formR user to our instance

To add a new account, have them sign up here: https://formr.osc.lmu.de/admin/account/register/ with the referral token that can be found in the credentials file in the root of the lRZ Sync and Share folder of the LMU Open Science Center. Then study-admin rights can be given to users: Advanced –> Manage Admins –> write “1” into column “Admin” –> press the pointing finger.

Before creating a new application from scratch, review previous application forms and reuse existing templates whenever possible. This helps ensure consistency across OSC programs and reduces setup time.
