Common Meeting Rooms for the OSC

A list of common meeting rooms used for OSC events, workshops, and office hours

Overview

For our in-person tutorials, workshops, conferences, summer schools, and team meetings, we maintain a list of rooms and buildings that meet our accessibility and equipment standards. This page documents known rooms, their capabilities, and booking procedures.

Notes on Specific Rooms

  • Room 3322: Shared meeting room with other chairs; elevator accessible; staff kitchen on the same floor.
  • Philologikum Veranstaltungsraum: Has its own kitchen, whiteboard, high tables, and podium. Good for hands-on workshops where participants need desk space.
  • Philologikum Multifunktionsraum: A flexible breakout room that works well alongside the Veranstaltungsraum for larger events.

General Notes on Room Booking

  • Accessibility: All rooms listed are accessible via elevator or are on the ground floor. When booking, always confirm accessibility needs with participants in advance.
  • Booking contacts: Some rooms are managed centrally by the UB (University Library); others are managed within the institute. When in doubt, reach out to Lilia, Malika, or the UB contacts listed above.
  • LSF system: The LMU course management system (LSF) can be used to search for additional rooms, but you typically need to be an admin on a course to access it.
  • Equipment check: Before your event, verify that all listed equipment (especially Click and Share, cameras, and room audio) is functional and compatible with your setup.
