Integrating Zotero

This section covers how to use Zotero citations within the tools you write in: Quarto documents and Microsoft Word. Both chapters follow the same basic workflow of inserting citations and generating a bibliography, adapted to each environment.

• Citations in Quarto covers BibTeX and .bib files, citation keys, inserting citations via RStudio’s Visual Editor, automatic bibliography generation, and keeping your bibliography in sync with Zotero using the Better BibTeX plugin.
• Citations in Word demonstrates using the Zotero Word plugin to insert citations, add a bibliography, and change citation styles — all from within the Zotero tab in Microsoft Word.
